Kingdom Hearts II
DiZ, unknown to Organization XIII, began using the Old Mansion as a headquarters for his revenge. Along with Naminé and Riku, he set up computer systems and Memory Pods in the basement levels of the manor, and monitored Sora's progression as he regained his memories while Roxas lived in a virtual simulation of Twilight Town.
The restoration process finishes exactly one year from the day
that Sora created Roxas, and Sora, Donald, and Goofy awaken from their
sleep with their memories restored up to the point that they entered
Castle Oblivion, but do not know how long they were asleep, or how they
got to Twilight Town. Sora says that the surroundings are rather
familiar, and the group wonders if they had ever been there before.
They wander the streets, looking for answers, and ultimately meet Hayner, Pence, Olette, Seifer,
and the other residents of Twilight Town. In the Sandlot, the Struggle
tournament organizer will explain how they end up doing Struggle
battles. In the Market Street, the tram has stopped running and the
Moogle shop is closed, sporting a sign that says "Synthesis Workshop -
coming soon!"
Eventually, they encounter King Mickey, when he saves them from a
group of attacking Nobodies and tells them to board a magic train to
the Mysterious Tower.
Once there, the tower's master, Yen Sid, gives Sora new clothes, new
abilities, and explains the situation with Organization XIII. He also
returns the Gummi Ship to them, and puts them on their new quest.
Sora and the party return to Twilight Town twice during their adventures. The first time, he learns that Kairi fled Destiny Islands in search of him and was kidnapped by Axel. As he leaves town, he is stopped by Saïx, who taunts him into defeating more Heartless for Organization XIII.
The second time, the party, along with Mickey, Hayner, Pence, and
Olette, go to the manor where Sora and the party awakened, and find the
digital Twilight Town, which leads them to The World That Never Was.

A wayfaring gambler who's ready for any game and any challenge. He'd even cast his life to the chips and let luck choose its course. Setzer is the Struggle's prior winner. He tends to be followed by an army of lovestruck, screaming girls. | |

A strange race that pops up in even stranger places to open shop. Moogles hate having their pompoms ruffled (don't we all?), but the pompom rufflers just keep coming in droves. Maybe that's why the moogles use holograms to run their shops now, while they kick back at home. |
Characters - Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, Jafar, Jafar (Genie), Genie, Carpet, Pete and Iago.
Description - Agrabah has returned to Kingdom Hearts 2, along with many of the old characters. Pete is stirring up trouble with Jafar's Lamp and Sora's task is to stop him dead in his tracks. However Pete manages to revive Jafar wich results in a big battle against Jafar in his Genie form above the city of Agrabah.
Characters - Hercules, Meg, Hades, Phil, Pegasus, Pain, Panic, Pete, Demyx (Demix) and Auron.
Description - Olympus Coliseum has returned as Ancient Greece, along with the old cast and a few new characters. A new area has been revealed called the Underworld, which is where Hades resides and you partake in a tournament like the old coliseum. Hades is plotting to eliminate Hercules and, once again, he's getting someone else to do his dirty work. Auron from Final Fantasy X is called to Hades' aid but he's not happy about it. They argue and start to fight when Sora, Donald and Goofy enter. Hades vanishes, leaving Sora and Auron. They soon start arguing about Hades and a battle commences, however Sora, Donald and Goofy have no chance and are soon knocked to the ground. But in the end, Sora and Auron fight side by side against Hades' Cerberus... Meanwhile at the Olympus Coliseum, the Hydra is battling against Hercules and things aren't looking up.
Pete can also be seen causing trouble with Hades while Demyx is confronting Sora, Donald and Goofy...
Characters - Ariel, Ursula, King Triton, Sebastion, Flotsam, Jetsam, Flounder and Prince Eric
Description - Atlantica is back, now with a new area! You can now go above water and meet Prince Eric! Ariel signs a contract with Ursula and is turned into a human like in the movie. But as always there is twist, Ursula gets hold of the Trident and takes over Atlantica! The whole level is optional and consists of some storyline and music games involving timing, one of which is a strange musical battle against Ursula. You keep revisiting Atlantica every now and then after unlocking new songs found in other worlds.
Nomura scrapped the RPGness of the level and turned it into a music world because the controls back in KH were too confusing for gamers.
Characters - Kairi, Axel, Pluto and Selphie.
Description - Kairi is left on Destiny Islands with Selphie for company. Axel makes an appearence along with Pluto and "kidnaps" Kairi. This world isn't playable.
Characters - Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Merlin and Chip 'n' Dale.
Description - Disney Castle was meant to be a world to visit in the first Kingdom Hearts, but was removed, so it's in Kingdom Hearts 2 instead. Sora meets Queen Minnie and Daisy Duck and escorts Minnie to the Throne Room, while fighting off Heartless. You'll have to be very careful during this task, as Queen Minnie has HP! However she can cast Holy to protect you. Below the throne room of Disney Castle, Queen Minnie shows Sora, Goofy and Donald a mysterious orb on a platform. Huge thorns can be seen growing around the room and Sora enters the the light portal to reveal the Timeless River!
Characters - Belle, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs Potts, Chip, Xaldane (Xaldin) and the Beast.
Description - Belle and Beast have their own world in Kingdom Hearts 2, Fabled Countryside. Upon entering Beast's Castle, Sora, Donald and Goofy are ambushed by Heartless. Beast comes and eliminates them all. Sora greets him, but Beast cannot remember him and knocks him aside. Beast takes the enchanted rose and departs. Sora meets Belle soon after, who explains that Beast has locked everyone up in the dungeon and seems to be under the Organization's control. Sora offers to help them all and ends up fighting a boss who is blocking the way to the dungeons... Meanwhile it is revealed that Beast has been controlled against his will by Xaldin, who has been using Beast to do his dirty work.
After you bring Beast back to his normal self Belle's kidnapped by Xaldin and you and your party have to defeat him.
Characters - Jack Skellington, Sally, Lock, Shock, Barrel, Zero, Dr. Finklestein, Mayor, Oogie Boogie and Sandy Clause (Santa Clause).
Description - Halloween Town returns in Kingdom Hearts 2, including a new area, Christmas Town. The story will follow the Nightmare Before Christmas more closely this time. Jack Skellington is fed up of doing the same thing every Halloween and longs for a change. When walking through a forest near Halloween Town, he finds a mysterious door in a tree with his faithful ghost-dog, Zero. Jack enters through the door and stumbles across Christmas Town, a place of joy, christmas, presents, elves and the jolly 'Sandy Clause'. Jack is so mystified by Christmas Town, a place so different to Halloween, that he takes some Christmas items back to show everyone in Halloween Town.
Everyone is excited about this new 'Christmas' and decide to celebrate it themselves! Sora, Goofy and Donald arrive at Halloween Town and help Jack get everything ready for Christmas, but Sally has a very bad feeling about it all...
Oogie Boogie soon comes onto the scene to cause havoc, he manages to capture Sandy Clause and takes him to his Mansion. So now it's up to Jack, Sora, Goofy and Donald to rescue Sandy Clause and save Christmas!

Description - The Land of Dragons is a new world with completely new characters from Disney's Mulan. The story will be following very closely to the movie's. Mulan Fa, the only child of her parents, joins the army in her father's place, disguised as a man. To help her in her mission to save China, is Mushu, a small, selfish, fire breathing dragon, who's more trouble than he's worth! Mulan's colleagues in the army are Ling, Yao and Chien Po, who she quickly befriends. Leading them into war is Li Shang, the strong and handsome General and opposing them is Shan-Yu, leader of the Huns...
During a battle against Shan-Yu, Sora, Donald and Goofy must endure many small Heartless that Shan-Yu summoned to defeat you. After defeating them Mulan gets a rocket type gun and aims it at the mountain, this causes a huge avalanche to engulf Shan-Yu and his army of Heartless. At a later point Sora, Mulan and Mushu (?) must fight a huge fire-breathing dragon, alone...
Characters - Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Luxord, Jack Sparrow, Jack Sparrow (Cursed) Barbossa and Barbossa (Cursed).
Description - Port Royal has joined Kingdom Hearts 2's list of new worlds. Sora, Donald and Goofy enter Port Royal and meet Jack Sparrow, the notorious pirate, who has lost his ship, the Black Pearl, to the infamous Captain Barbossa, who has also managed to kidnap Elizabeth Swann. Jack joins Sora, Donald and Goofy, to win back the Black Pearl and rescue Elizabeth. When they confront Barbossa, they strike a bargain, Elizabeth Swann for her ancient Medallion, which Jack currently holds. After handing over the Medallion, Barbossa refuses to give Elizabeth back. Can Will Turner, Jack Sparrow, Sora, Donald and Goofy save Elizabeth and break an ancient curse?
Characters - Young Simba, Adult Simba, Nala, Scar, Pete, Mufasa, Timon, Pumbaa, Shenzi, Banzai, Ed and Rafiki.
Description - The new Pride Lands has become yet another world in Kingdom Hearts 2 and yes, Sora, Donald and Goofy have become animals! The story will closely follow that of the first Lion King. When Simba is a young cub, his father and king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa, tells Simba that one day he will rule the Pride Lands when Mufasa is gone, as a part of the great Circle of Life. Then one day a tragic thing happens that changes Simba's life forever... and his jealous Uncle, Scar and his group of Hyenas, were behind it all...
When Sora, Donald and Goofy enter the Pride Lands, (Sora as a cute little lion cub that weilds the Keyblade in his mouth, Donald as a bird similar to Zazu and Goofy appropriately as a Tortoise) things have changed, Simba has grown up and the Pride Lands are wasting away.
They soon meet Simba, Nala, Rafiki, Timon and Pumbaa to help them save the Pridelands from Scar and the Hyenas who have joined forces with Pete (who has become an odd looking lion).
The battle system has changed slightly to adjust to Sora, Donald and Goofy's animal forms and Simba will be available as a Party Member.

Characters - Tron, Master Control Panel and Commander Sark.
Description - The world Tron was recently announced. It was planned to be in Kingdom Hearts 2 from the start. It will have the old computer sounds and will also feature a mini game called Light Cycle. The Light Cycle was in the original movie but Nomura didn't make it exactly the same as it was in the movie. What changes he made to the mini game is not known as of yet.

Description - The Steamboat Willie world is now appearing in Kingdom Hearts 2, keeping true to the old animation in black and white, all the characters have been transformed into the old fashioned style. Sora, Donald and Goofy enter this world through a portal at Disney Castle. Sora joins Mickey Mouse, (he doesn't seem to be the King Mickey in the other worlds) to put a stop to Pete.
Characters - King Mickey, Roxas (Blonde Haired Kid), Hayner, Pence, Olette, Seifer, Raijin, Fujin, Vexen, Axel, Setzer and DiZ.
Description - Being the first world that Sora, Donald and Goofy enter, Twilight Town may be the next Traverse Town, being at the centre of all the action, with shops, places to rest and portals to all other worlds.
Itani's Description: If you've played CoM you would have had a small preview of Twilight Town. This world will probably have the same role as Traverse Town. Where you go buy items and weapons. The Disney site is also updating it's Twilight section. Nomura recently said that there's no point of making Twilight Town big but not featuring anything. So he has added sidequests through out Twilight Town. One is skateboarding with BHK.
